Shane Morrow, Owner, Certified Ross Instructor
I am from Somerset, Kentucky. My love for art started when I was just a kid watching my mother paint. Even at such a young age, I remember thinking how amazing it would be to be able to paint like her. I didn’t pick up a paint brush until 2012 though. I began watching art videos on YouTube by Jason Bowen and carefully following along. I then began watching Bob Ross and really studying the Wet-on-Wet technique. I sold my first painting in 2014. This gave me the confidence I needed to really fine tune my skills. Over the years, I have studied under both Dana Jester (Bob's best friend) and Steve Ross (Bob's son), attending several of their workshops. I create acrylics, floral and some wildlife paintings as well. I had the honor of traveling to Muncie, Indiana to attend a three-week landscape training, where Bob's show The Joy of Painting was actually filmed, to become a Certified Ross Instructor. Becoming a certified Ross instructor was an incredibly proud day for me. More importantly my wife and son are my inspirations, and I couldn't do this without their love and support. I love all things art! I look forward to sharing my love and knowledge of painting with everyone!
